Rio Mesa Aquatic Center, Oxnard, California
Lauterbach & Associates, Architects was selected by Oxnard Union High School District to provide the architectural and planning services for an aquatic center at Rio Mesa High School. The project included a 25 x 35 meter pool along with locker room facilities with a capacity of 120 students. Disability access features are provided in the design. Special features include retractable shade canopies, enclosed pool equipment, gray water recycling containment tanks, solar and photovoltaic roof-mounted equipment.
The project was done in compliance with the requirement of the Division of the State Architect (DSA). Lauterbach & Associates, Architects facilitated the process. The project was funded by the Rio Mesa High School Booster Club.
